Last week our COO Giulia and Head of Marketing Nick participated in the three-day event: Digital Enterprise Show (DES), held for the first time in Malaga.

The last time ZIM took part and presented at an international event was at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February; a lot has changed since then.

At MWC, we introduced ZIM to a varied international audience by giving away eSIM plans for Spain as our App was still in pre-production.

This time at DES, we finally showcased our App to the world in its polished form as we are now live on both PlayStore and Appstore. This allowed us to present our product to potential customers in its entirety and show them how user-friendly our App is; the feedback has been very positive.

While scouting for customers, we were delighted to meet other ventures and start-ups who shared similar prospects and kick-starting talks for future collaborations.

On the first day, our COO Giulia participated in the Scale-up Pitch Competition for Tourism and Hospitality. The competition was held in a boxing ring; needless to say, she rocked the show.

Facing off against the other nine start-ups, she made us proud, not only because she gave a rockstar performance but also because she won it!

We got the news this Monday. We were ecstatic to learn ZIM had won the Amadeus Scale-Up Award for Travel Sustainability, bringing our award collection to two.

Malaga was full of surprises and opportunities for ZIM; it was a wholesome experience, and we can’t wait for round two next year.
